Meeting the demands of an ever-growing product assortment with in-house image manipulation

PROJECT ROLES

Creative Direction // Art Direction // Image manipulation

A common issue for global brands is the capacity to provide support for independent needs of multiple subsidiaries. This can be especially challenging for synchronized product launches. The touchpoints that are sufficient for a launch in the company’s home country generally do not transition into another country’s market without flaw.

As lead designer, it was my responsibility to either perform, delegate, or procure any image adaptations needed to achieve the goal of completing an optimal set of product launch touchpoints.

Image manipulations mainly included the following tasks:

  • Change the color or “finish” of a product

    • (i.e. Change a faucet from a brushed nickel finish to a matte black finish.)

  • Add / remove / replace products, subjects, or details in photographs

  • Add / remove / replace graphics and text
